Eibon still wears his usual clothes, but is open to try and wear new things. Well, what his difficult body allows him to wear that is. He tries to fit a bit more in the modern society. Until he meets Susie. Due him having no fur, nothing covers him down there, which was not appropriate for living with humans. So she made him an undie similar to the canon one. Personality Swap AU: Eibon has his normal clothes, but in the colors in opposite patterns.
His cloak has bloodstains as well as bloody handprints , dirt and the such on it and is more ragged up and torn. His mask has some cracks in it. Genderbend AU: As a female Eibon has the same clothes, which however are tighter to the skin, showing more curves of her body.
Meaning he doesn't wear a mask and all that, giving a good look of his body. Personality: Eibon barely expresses any emotion, unless being with a close person or taken over by emotions or madness. His way of talking is mostly very calm speaking with sophisticated vocabulary. He doesn't talk more than necessary and prefers being quiet, letting actions speak more than words.
Eibon is a big hermit, some call him ''nerd'' due him being stuck in his own interests and believes. But he is very casual, friendly and open minded. He doesn't like talking about intimate topics. He is very overprotective with his fragile wife, almost close to panic attacks when she gets hurt. But he loves her with all his heart, willing to do anything to make her happy. He is overly emotional and nervous in the presence of romantically loved ones.
Seeing his own newborn children, he even got tears and nearly fainted of happiness. Good traits: The sorcerer tries to use his knowledge for the benefits of humanity and enjoys peace. He is a very good listener who mostly has the best advice in all situations. Despite his strong body, he is very careful and also uses his magic to help people the best he can.
He is very good teacher and good with children, fawning over the thought of being a teacher at Shibusen. Causing harm to children makes him awfully pissed, he'd protect them at all cost even when they aren't his own. When it comes to working, Eibon is very enthusiastic and will keep it up until it is finished. But he often ends up overworked.
Despite disliking sports, he does it anyways to keep his body healthy and in shape. He even trains with his son sometimes just so he is happy. Eibon can see right through someone, so easily sees through lies. Bad traits: Eibon's curiosity drove him forwards to create the demon tools. His desperation to save his wife drove him away from his dear friend's side to join Arachne to work for her. In the end, he was on the verge on a breakdown and fell into depression once he realized his wife couldn't be saved.
A main negative trait is his stubbornness when it comes to stress, believing his knowledge let's him do anything, even granting immortality. Otherwise, his seemingly cold attitude to others makes him look a bit unfriendly, as well as his hermit tendencies which makes him look as if he doesn't want other people's presence. Eibon tends to get easily upset when people purposely tease him such as interrupting studies.
Which brings us to the most lowkey important character of all of Soul Eater. Angela the Witch. In Soul Eater the witch race lives in isolation from the rest of the world as they are hunted and persecuted. The instinct to destroy specifically because they are born with great power. They are not wild animals. They want to use it and be destructive more often than not.
Is that fair? Witches can live passive lives but because Lord Death has singled them out they are forced into hiding and any path of rehabilitation is cut off as there does not exist a system setup for them to be integrated into society. Are the Salem Witch trials starting to ring any bells? The Witches in Soul Eater are alienated and oppressed minority. So what then of Angela? As she grows she will eventually become a threat to society as the her magic influences her mind.
Despite being a witch she is just an innocent child. Whether she turns out alright or not after being taken under the wing of the DWMA is something that only time could tell. This then is the arc Death the Kid has to go under and examine throughout the entire manga. Death the Kid must struggle with how he wants to shape the world. His victory does not lie in sticking to old flawed methods which have proven themselves marginally effective, but making efforts to create a world that can adapt to new situations as they come.
Question time. In our exploration of Identity and Authority via Soul Eater what have we learned about people as individuals? And a person alienated from society is a person destined to rebel against it. This brings us to the gender ambiguous mess of a human that is Crona Medusa. She raised a child who was entirely dependant on her and murder for validation.
Starved them of food. Even when she died and Crona was adopted under the DMWA the alienation from any support was taking place.
Medusa forced Crona to act as a spy. Crona, being caught in the middle, chose to listen to Medusa because they were raised to be completely dependant. Most interestingly Medusa dressed Crona in a plain black dress and never gave Crona a gender. There is some confusion about this within the community. With manga readers thinking that Crona was a biologically Female in the manga and Male in the anime. People abstracted this because English does not have neutral gender pronouns that where well-known and used at the time.
Yes this is confirmed. I am not dying on a hill that was conquered years ago. To give Crona a sex would be to inadvertently to give Crona gender. When that was cut off the closest thing to a being of pure madness was created.
There are times when even justice can drive people to madness. Soul being forced into a life of inferiority because of his parents musical reputation. The DWMA alienating witches from society cutting off their path to integration and recovery. Abuse of the power you have been given over others is evil. Sign in. Log into your account. He has expressed that even when they both agreed to never try to create the Demon Weapons, as the method was unjust, he still showed signs that he really wanted to do so.
Although Eibon is depicted as a relatively tall humanoid figure, due to the presence of his ornamental clothing his exact physical proportions and even his facial features remain mostly obscured, making it difficult to discern his actual characteristics. This concealing attire is comprised from a simplistic steel mask, attached to a protruding hat with an additional visor that descends down the entirety of his face, and a full length robe, which covers the remainder of his body.
Layered over this dark robe are numerous linear patterned panels, accented by metallic plating that is also found on Eibon's shoulders and running down his sides, and protruding from the ends of his sleeves are similarly constructed angular projections.
Completing his typical dress is a long triple-wrapped scarf, which terminates in a spherical bead and various tassels at end, and an unusual triangular section that extends forth from his chest, featuring steel panels fashioned into the shape of a capital letter " E ".
Being a former member of the Eight Reaper Legions and serving as one of Death's personal guards, his power is implied to be extremely potent and roughly comparable to the output of power from "BREW" itself, with statements from Arachne herself stating that "BREW" is Eibon.
Demon Book Text : Eibon is capable of using some sort of magical texts on paper to perform magical feats, in which are exhibit from the Book of Eibon as well as the Demon tools within it. He's capable of making them perform feats such as such as summoning, [17] plundering into separate dimensions, [18] teleportation, or creating magical restraints capable of trapping an incomplete Reaper. Genius-Level Intellect : Eibon is known to be an extremely intelligent individual, with The Great Old One of Power 's comments suggesting Eibon's most renowned trait is his intelligence.
A past associate of Death and Arachne, [6] Eibon conferred with the former and created the demon tool known as the Eternal Spring [21] and various others, in which were then recorded into the Book of Eibon , his personal demon book. When faced with the dilemma with the Witches' control spreading far and causing chaos, both him and Death proposed for a solution. With Excalibur 's as inspiration much to his disgust, he along with Death draw up the blueprints for the Demon Weapons.
However, both soon discover to make them propose to sacrifice Witches for their souls and although conflicted, he ultimately agreed in ending the tests and seal the information away. At some point in addition, he'd also create his masterpiece known as "BREW". However, he'd find that both the blueprints on the Demon Weapon and his Demon Tool were stolen thanks to the likes of Arachne Gorgon, who intended to hide both the tool from Death to reclaim later and create the demon weapons from his research.
