When sending email attachments, for example, it would be great to be able to select the attachment when creating a message.
Unfortunately as of , iOS doesn't work that way; sending attachments requires you to go to the app containing the items which you want to send. To send attachments on the iPad, you must do it from within the app containing the attachment, not the Mail app. Open the app containing the attachment you want to send. For example, if you want to send a document, open Pages or the word processor you use. Tap the envelope icon to open the Share menu.
In Files, tap Browse or Recent at the bottom of the screen, then tap a file, location, or folder to open it. Tap in the email where you want to insert the photo or video, then tap above the keyboard.
Tap in the email where you want to insert the scanned document, then tap above the keyboard. Position iPad so that the document page appears on the screen—iPad automatically captures the page. To capture the page manually, tap or press a volume button. To turn the flash on or off, tap. Crop the image: Tap. Apply a filter: Tap. Rotate the image: Tap.
Delete the scan: Tap. Delete the scan: Tap. Tap in the email where you want to insert a drawing, then tap above the keyboard. Tap in the format bar. See Draw in apps with Markup on iPhone. To resume work on a drawing, tap the drawing, then tap.
Attach a document to an email You can attach a saved document to an email. Tap the document to insert it into your email. You can also drag a file to your email to attach it to the email. Insert a saved photo or video Tap in the email where you want to insert the photo or video, then tap in the format bar above the keyboard.
